Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications at the moment are open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house by using a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined house cash flow isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open nsfas status check to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

NSFAS only funds people who are studying or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
